Reiger Park’s well-known comedian Eric Jansen is thrilled to be one of the comedians on Comedy Central shows that are being streamed live from the Savanna Virtual Comedy Bar every Sunday at 10pm on DStv’s Comedy Central channel.

The former Boksburg High School learner who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry has performed around South Africa with many other South African comedians.

He was a finalist in the Comedy Central Roast Battle and in 2018 he was a nominee for the Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards Next Level Comedian of the Year.

Apart from comedy, he has acted on various Afrikaans soap operas, such as 7de laan and Binnelanders.

Jansen told the Advertiser although he was meant to be in America this year doing comedy, he had to halt his plans due to the pandemic.

“Even though things didn’t go accordingly, I am excited that I got the opportunity to still do what I love as one of the comedians for the Comedy Central show,” Jansen said.

The comedian said comedy has always been his passion.

“I’ve always been an entertainer and a tension-breaker when it comes to tough and serious moments, either with friends, family or strangers,” Jansen said.
