According to Rescue Care operations director Garrith Jamieson, paramedics found a Toyota Condor on its roof, Southlands Sunreported.
In the short video posted on YouTube, the taxi is seen racing through a street before suddenly overturning.
Jamieson said the paramedics found several children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old injured around the vehicle, following the crash.
All 15 children needed needed treatment, while more medical workers were called in to assist the injured.
“After more ambulances arrived and all the children had been stabilised, they were transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care,” said Jamieson.
The cause of the accident remained unknown, while police investigations continue.
In August, 26 people including children, sustained various injuries when two taxis collided in an accident in Benoni on Gauteng’s East Rand.
ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said some of those injured included children aged between the ages of five and 13-years-old.
