19-year-old dies in motorcycle crash in Secunda

Police in Mpumalanga have launched a culpable homicide investigation after a young man was killed in a motorcycle crash.

A young man (19) died in a motorcycle accident on Nelson Mandela Drive in Secunda, Mpumalanga, last night.

The rider allegedly lost control over his motorbike, which then collided with a tree and slammed into the palisades of the Sasol Club, Ridge Times reports.

According to emergency workers, the young man’s parents were also on the scene.

Attending to the scene were ER24, Jelani Security, GTR and the Govan Mbeki Fire Brigade.

The police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
