2 killed in drive-by shooting in Durban CBD

The two men were found with gunshot wounds and in a state of cardiac arrest.

Two men were shot while sitting in a vehicle in a drive-by shooting this morning in the Durban Central Business District. The motive for the murders is still unknown.

According to the spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Paramedics, Kyle Van Reenen, at 11:00, Emer-G-Med Paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting incident at the intersection of Stanger and Argyle roads in the Durban Central Business District.

“On arrival on scene, two men, aged approximately forty years old, were found with multiple gunshot wounds and in a state of cardiac arrest,” says the Van Reenen.

He says resuscitation efforts were attempted on both men, however, they were unsuccessful, and the men were declared dead on the scene.

“The motive for the shooting is unknown and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation,” says Van Reenan.
