An accident occurred near the busy Pinhaven interaction on the R28 in Krugersdorp this morning, injuring about 20 people.

According to reports, a taxi and a construction vehicle were involved in the accident. 20 passengers of the taxi were injured and were transported to healthcare facilities. No deaths were reported.

Krugersdorp News was on the scene and reported a slight delay in traffic due to emergency services blocking the road toward Cradlestone Mall.

Emergency services on the scene included Gauteng Emergency Medical Health Services, BCI Security and Mogale City Public Safety officials.
