4 to be sentenced in Knysna for killing woman over life policies

Four men face sentencing for the 2022 planned murder of Nomdundu Mafani, who was shot 15 times in a hit ordered for insurance payouts.

Four people will be sentenced today after being found guilty of a planned murder involving three life policies taken out on the life of Nomdundu Mafani of KwaNokuthula, Plettenberg Bay.

According to Knysna-Plett Herald, Mafani was shot 15 times in a house in Cuba Street on April 29, 2022.

The payment for the ‘hit’ on Mafani was R40 000.

The high court sitting in Knysna found Mboneleli Msila, Mbulelo Jack, Monde Tshemese and Lungisile Lucas, all from KwaNokuthula, guilty on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, ruling that Mafani’s murder was planned.

Tshemese was also found guilty of the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
