Accident on N1 highway in Pretoria claims life of woman
Upon the arrival of paramedics a 26-year-old female was found trapped in the wreckage.
A woman was killed after a car rolled on the N1 North at the Rigel Ave offramp near Waterkloof Ridge on Saturday night.
According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle Van Reenen, paramedics responded to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover on the N1 North at the Rigel Ave offramp at around 20:30.
Van Reenen said on arrival at the scene a man in his 30’s was found to have sustained minor injuries and declined transport to hospital.
He added, “However, further investigations revealed that a 26-year-old female was entrapped in the wreckage with no signs of life”
He said the woman was declared dead on the scene.
The cause of the accident is not known and forms part of a police investigation.
