Another vehicle plunges down Voëlklip

UPDATE: Search for little girl after car goes over cliff

George Herald journalist Kristy Kolberg is currently on scene near the Voëlklip lookout point in Herolds Bay where another vehicle, has gone over the cliff.

According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt. Malcolm Pojie, there was a woman with two children in the car.

“One of the children, a boy, managed to escape from the vehicle before it went over the cliff,” he says.

Rescue workers, local police, the NSRI and paramedics are currently on scene. The vehicle was in the same area that Heidi Scheepers and her two children went over in their VW Caravelle in 2019.
