At least 1 dead in Gauteng plane crash

A photography event ended in tragedy when a plane plummeted to the ground.

A light plane crash at the Springs Airfield in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, claimed at least one life yesterday morning.

It is reported that the pilot and his passenger died, but this information remains unconfirmed.

The crash took place during a closed photography event.

A video posted on social media by Arrive Alive shows the aftermath of the crash, and it is clear that the plane is beyond repair.
