A shooting in Braamfontein sparked outrage on social media after a university student and two other people were killed.

Unknown gunmen shot two men who were inside a parked vehicle yesterday. During the shooting, a university bus was caught in the crossfire and two students were shot.

“Both men in the vehicle and one student were declared dead, while the other student was taken to the nearest hospital for medical treatment,” says provincial police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi.

“The motive of the shooting is subject to police investigation and a case of murder and attempted murder is open. No one has been arrested,” she adds.
