Last Monday, a businessman was shot and killed in Laudium, Pretoria.
Centurion Concerned Citizens (CCC) spokesperson Hannes du Buisson said the deceased was travelling with his brother, who was driving behind in a gold-coloured Toyota Corolla, when they were followed from Laudium by a white and a black Volkswagen Golf.
The brother said the occupants of the Golf opened fired when they turned into Wierda Road from the R55.
“It is believed R35 000 was in the deceased’s car, but there was no official confirmation of this. It appears not to be a hijacking but a robbery, if there was money stolen,” added Du Buisson.
