Clothing shop staff and guard held up at gunpoint in Pinetown
One of the suspects was arrested and found in possession of stolen cellphones and a toy gun.

One of the six suspects who held up a security guard and staff in a clothing shop in Hill Street, Pinetown, on Sunday, 3 January was arrested, Highway Mail reports.
According to Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele, two of the six suspects were armed with firearms.
“The victims were locked in the office and suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones from the safe before fleeing the scene,” said Manqele.
He said a case of business robbery was registered at Pinetown police station and detectives are investigating.
“The stolen cellphones were tracked to the Bester area near KwaMashu. Police proceeded to the address at Bester and arrested one suspect who was found in possession of the stolen cellphones. A toy gun was also seized from the suspect,” reported Manqele.
The other suspects are still at large.
The arrested suspect has been charged for business robbery and was expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday, 5 January.
