South Africa has conducted a total of 2 684 488 tests, with 52 382 having been conducted over the past 24-hours. So far, there is a cumulative total of 421 996 positive cases, 245 771 recoveries and 6 343.

Covid-19 cases continue to rise rapidly across the country, as the so-called peak approaches.
South Africa has conducted a total of 2 684 488 tests, with 52 382 having been conducted over the past 24-hours. So far, there is a cumulative total of 421 996 positive cases, 245 771 recoveries and 6 343.
The epicentre of the virus remains Gauteng, with 153 020 cases. Gauteng also has the highest number of recoveries, with 82 126 in total. The Western Cape still has the highest number of deaths reported, with 2 827 in total.
