As of January 13, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases reported there were 5 920 new Covid-19 cases identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of positive cases to 3 546 808.

With a further 51 Covid-19 related deaths recorded, the total number of deaths was at 92 989.
