Dagga worth around R600 000 seized in Kempton Park
The suspects were arrested on Spoorweg Avenue, in Kempton Park West, on Tuesday.
Tree suspects were arrested for possession and dealing in drugs after allegedly being found in possession of dagga with a street value of hundreds of thousands.

The suspects were arrested on Spoorweg Avenue, in Kempton Park West, on Tuesday.
In a statement issued on behalf of acting station commander Lt-Col Ramethe, Sgt Barbara-Anne Ferreira said the community members being the eyes and the ears of the police led to the arrest of the suspects.
“Ekurhuleni Covid-19 North Rand unit was patrolling Kempton Park West when a member of the public informed them of suspicious activity in a house in Spoorweg Avenue,” said Ferreira, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS.
“The officers introduced themselves and asked the occupants to search the house. They found sealed plastic bags with the drugs inside.”

Ferreira said the police arrested three suspects for possession and dealing in drugs.
“The dagga was taken to Arwyp Medical Centre, where it weighed 262.65kg,” explained Ferreira.
“The suspects were taken to Norkem Park Police Station and the dagga was booked in the exhibit register. The suspects will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court and investigations into the case continue.”
