Decomposing body found at Germiston day care centre
The property where the man’s body was found operates as a day care centre.
Primrose SAPS confirmed that the decomposing body of a man was found at a property in Primrose, Germiston on Monday morning.
The property where the man’s body was found operates as a day care centre. The man, identified as Uncle Wilson, stayed on the property.
Jannie Lewis, transport and maintenance manager of the daycare said he was the one who called the police after the discovery.
“Uncle Wilson was a close friend to my father who is the property owner. My father offered him the back room after he needed a place to stay”.
Lewis said Uncle Wilson’s son visited him at the start of December to convince him to return to Limpopo, but he had refused.
“We found him on the first day of reopening the day care. We only had a handful of children on the day and they did not see or hear anything because the back room is far away from the day care,” said Lewis.
Primrose SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome said the family of Uncle Wilson arranged for an undertaker to collect the body.
