Delay in ANC taking action against Jacob Zuma

The disciplinary hearing against the former president has been postponed to next week, after a virtual hearing earlier today.

The ANC earlier today postponed the disciplinary hearing against former president Jacob Zuma — who the party is accusing of violating the organisation’s constitution by aligning himself with a rival political party, the uMkhonto we Sizwe (MK) Party – to next week.

Zuma, who served two five-year terms as ANC president, was charged by the party’s current leadership for contravening its constitution after he had aligned himself with the MK Party.

The disciplinary hearing, which was initially supposed to have taken place at the ANC’s Johannesburg headquarters, was conducted virtually due to what ANC leaders described as ‘security concerns’.
