Domestic worker arrested for KZN woman’s murder
She claimed that she and the victim were held up by armed men.

A domestic worker was charged with murder and robbery after the body her employer’s daughter was found in Umzinto, KZN and her version of events did not add up.
KZN Media Centre Communication Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala says the incident took place on Thursday at around 12:20.
“A domestic worker alleged that she and her employer’s daughter were accosted by unidentified men who pointed a firearm at her and demanded cash.
“The employer’s 43-year-old daughter was later found dead on the side of the bed. It is suspected that she was suffocated.
“The police’s investigation revealed that no valuables have been taken from the house and the domestic worker was taken in for questioning,“ says Gwala.
She was then charged and appeared in the Umzinto Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
