E-hailing driver shot dead in Pietermaritzburg

A man, believed to be a cab driver, sustained several gunshot wounds and was found dead in his car.

An e-hailing driver was shot dead in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday morning.

According to Mi7 National Group, its Emergency Medical Services was dispatched after its Armed Response Units requested medical assistance at a crime scene on Queen Street.

This incident happened just after 06:00.

The medics made their way to Queen Street and found armed response teams and police around a stationary vehicle in which the driver appeared unconscious.
