Eskom announces slightly lower load-shedding stages for the weekend

Stage 6 power cuts are back on the cards from Sunday evening onwards.

Eskom says lower demand predicted for the weekend will see lower stages of load-shedding implemented on Saturday and Sunday during the day.

While the country is currently experiencing crippling stage 6 power cuts, some relief are on the cards for the weekend.

Stage 3 load-shedding will be implemented from 05:00 to 16:00 tomorrow, then stage 5 during evening peak hours from 16:00 to 05:00 on Sunday when stage 4 will be implemented until 16:00 on Sunday. Stage 6 will be implemented thereafter.

The power utility says a further update will be provided as soon as significant changes occur.
