Eskom downgrades load-shedding to stage 4

Further reprieve for South Africans as power cuts lowered another stage.

After experiencing continuous stage 6 power cuts for a whole week, Eskom has in the last few hours twice downgraded the stage of load-shedding.

The power utility initially announced that stage 5 load-shedding will be implemented at 05:00 and continue ‘until further notice’.

However, in some reprieve for citizens, Eskom has since announced that from 09:00, power cuts have been downgraded to stage 4.

A full statement by the power utility is still awaited in regards to current system constraints.
