Four armed men in law enforcement uniforms sought in Mpumalanga
An alert has been issued in the Lowveld to watch for a gang that seems to be posing as officers of the law.
Mbombela’s Community Policing Forum (CPF) yesterday launched a manhunt for four armed men in a white Volkswagen Amarok who were impersonating law enforcement officers.
The vehicle, with registration number, KY 91 DB GP, has blue lights.
In a be-on-the-lookout alert, it was said that the men dress in SAPS and traffic law enforcement uniforms, even though they are neither SAPS nor traffic department officials.
CPF chairperson John Meintjies has urged the public to contact him at 082 926 5194 if they spot the vehicle.
