Frozen mutilated body found on Roodeplaat Dam identified

"The body was mutilated with its head, arms, legs and private parts missing.”

Police have confirmed that the frozen mutilated body that was found in Roodeplaat Dam on December 27 has been identified as that of Zeyn Khan.

Khan’s body was identified on Thursday January 6 after he was reported missing in Florida police station on November 29 last year.

The body was found dumped at Riverside Estate, Roodeplaat dam.

“It is reported that on 27 December 23:00, a member of the public saw a vehicle parked on the bridge in Kameelfontein Road. She notified the police who immediatetly responded,” said police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello.

Sello said upon arrival at the said place, the police discovered a frozen body wrapped in a plastic bag. The body was mutilated with the head, arms, legs and private parts missing.

Sello said the police will be investigating a case of murder.
