Gautrain bus service disrupted by Numsa march
Gautrain bus commuters have been notified of bus disruptions, as bus services were interrupted by an anti-corruption march today.
Bombela Concession Company spokesperson Kesagee Nayager said drivers joined the National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) national anti-corruption march, Rekord Centurion reported.
“Drivers joined the national anti-corruption strike, but the Ecomobility express bus services will not be interrupted,” she said.
The anti-corruption march was organised by several civil society organisations to bring the message to the leaders that society was fed up with corruption.

“We expect a disruption to our bus service this morning, as drivers may be joining the national anti-corruption strike. Express service is unaffected,” according to the train service’s Twitter page.
The march, organised by Numsa, would see memorandums delivered at the Gauteng legislature, Premier David Makhura’s office and the South African Reserve Bank.
Thousands of people marched through the Johannesburg CBD calling for government to be held accountable for corruption in the country.
Numsa members say they want corruption to stop because the ordinary working class is suffering. The march expected to continue throughout the day, but bus operations would resume on Thursday.
