KZN municipal official and 2 others shot dead
The motive behind the killing of three men whose bodies were found this morning is not yet known.
A prominent Alfred Duma municipal official was shot dead this morning in Mabhekazi, KZN.
Two other men were also killed in the shooting, which happened along Helpmekaar Road.
SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan confirmed the incident.
“The bodies of three men aged between 30 and 40 were discovered early this morning in the Mabhekazi area of Ekuvukeni. All three deceased sustained gunshot wounds.
“At this stage, the motive for the shooting is unclear.
“Three counts of murder will be investigated by Ekuvukeni detectives. The deceased have not yet been formally identified,” says Khan.
