KZN teen killed in alleged accidental shooting

Police are still mum after a young boy was killed after he and his friend are said to have been playing with a loaded gun.

A 14-year-old boy was killed yesterday afternoon after it is believed he and a friend were playing with a loaded gun.

The alleged accidental shooting took place on Clover Road in KwaDukuza, KZN, just before 17:00.

“The boy was shot in the chest and was unfortunately declared dead on scene by the paramedics who arrived.

“The second boy sustained no injuries during this horrific incident,” says IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Dylan Meyrick.

KwaDukuza SAPS were on scene and will investigate further.

They had not returned a request for comment at the time of publication.
