Last Rivonia Trialist Andrew Mlangeni dies
South Africans mourn the passing of a freedom fighter.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has sent his condolences to the family of struggle stalwart Andrew Mekete Mlangeni.
According to reports, Mlangeni who was the last remaining Rivonia Trialist was admired at the One Military Hospital in Pretoria last night after complaining about abdominal pain.
โThe passing of Andrew Mekete Mlangeni signifies the end of generational history and places our future squarely in our hands,โ said the President.
Ramaphosa went on to describe Ntate Mlangeni as a person who lived a life full of heroism and humility.
Mlangeni is the second and last Rivonia Trialist to die this year after Denis Goldberg who passed away in April.
