Limpopo woman allegedly stabs partner to death

Acting Limpopo commissioner of police Major General Jan Scheepers condemned the incident.

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her partner (29) following a fight at her house in Hinlopen, Limpopo.

The murder took place around 22:45 in Morarela village yesterday, says Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba

“According to the information received, at the time of the incident, the victim had visited his partner at her home when the two engaged in a heated argument.

“The alleged suspect (woman) apparently went outside to cool down, but the victim followed her while holding a sharp object. The victim was then stabbed in the upper body following a fight between the two,” he adds.

When officers and paramedics arrived on scene, he was certified dead, and the woman was arrested.

Ledwaba says police have opened a murder case. The motive for the killing is not yet known, but domestic violence cannot be ruled out.

The woman will appear before the Marble Hall Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
