Load-shedding escalated due to breakdowns
Stage 3 load-shedding was supposed to be implemented this morning, but Eskom announced that stage 4 will instead kick in.
Load-shedding has been increased by one stage early this morning due to the breakdown of generating units.
Eskom said stage 4 was implemented at 05:00 and will last until 16:00. Previously the power utility said stage 3 would be implemented in this timeslot.
According to Eskom, further updates will be publish if there are any significant changes.
