A man was stabbed to death after his girlfriend’s alleged other boyfriend, killed him in a jealous rage when he caught the two together.

The 57-year-old man was found murdered at Vaal Park, Sasolburg on Monday.

The police in Sasolburg say it is alleged that the girlfriend was romantically pursuing both the 57-year-old Jonas Lesolia and the 37-year-old accused at the same time.

Police spokesperson Constable Langa Maselela says the suspect traced the movements of the woman and caught her and Lesolia on their way to work.

“He stabbed Lesolia multiple times with a sharp object and fled on foot, leaving the girlfriend behind at the scene.”

The police were called to the scene and EMS personnel declared Lesolia dead.

Maselela says police managed to arrest the suspect the same day.

The suspect appeared in court on Wednesday on a charge of murder and being an illegal immigrant from Zimbabwe.
