Man found dead in Roodepoort garage
Cases of housebreaking, robbery and murder have been opened after a man was found dead in a garage in Weltevreden Park, Roodepoort, in Gauteng.
Honeydew police spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs said the unidentified man was found dead in his garage on Wednesday, Randburg Sun reported.
“It is alleged the deceased’s son received a call that his father did not fetch the children from school,” added Jacobs.
The son then went to his father’s house and discovered his father’s body in the garage, said Jacobs.
The circumstances surrounding the death of the victim remains under investigation, as there are no witnesses yet, added Jacobs.
Anyone with more information can contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable David Ndabandaba, on 073 765 4702.
This after a 37-year-old unidentified man was found dead in his house in Ramsgate, KwaZulu-Natal yesterday.
Police spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka said police were notified, and upon investigation they found the man’s body lying face down on the floor. It appears he had been stabbed.
“From the state of the man’s room, a struggle appeared to have taken place,” added Mfeka.
Strangely, the house was locked, and the man’s car was gone, said Mfeka.
He said while police were on the scene, they were notified that the deceased’s car had been found abandoned in Bizana.
A case of murder is under investigation.
