Man found murdered in burned car in Gauteng

The man’s hands were bound, and he had several visible injuries.

The body of a man whose identity is unknown, was found in a vehicle that was set alight in Dilopye village in Temba, Gauteng yesterday.

The gruesome discovery was made in the early hours of Tuesday after police received a tip-off about a burning Nissan NP200, according to Temba SAPS station commander Brigadier Johannes Tau.

Police officers found the man with his hands bound, suffering multiple injuries to his upper and lower body.

Temba SAPS believe that rocks and sticks were used in the assault, however, the motive for the attack is still unclear.

Police are investigating a case of murder, and the identity of the deceased is not known. Police believe the victim was between 30 and 40 years old.

Tau pleads with the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and instead report any information about crime to 08600 10111.

Calls can be treated anonymously.
