Man shot dead in suspected hit near Northcliff

A man was shot dead in a suspected hit on the N1 near Northcliff, marking the third such attack in the area in three years.

There was an active crime scene on the 14th Avenue off-ramp from the N1 highway near Northcliff, Johannesburg, last night at 20:13.

According to Northcliff Melville Times, the incident resulted in the death of a man. Reports indicate it was a shooting and is believed to have been a targeted hit.

Authorities confirmed the incident, stating the victim’s car was found riddled with 9mm bullet holes on the driver’s side, suggesting a clear intention behind the attack.

“This is now the third hit in that vicinity in the last three years,” authorities said.

All emergency and law enforcement services responded to the scene.
