Police have launched a manhunt following a cash-in-transit robbery near Corobrik, on the R68, commonly known as the Sunset Rest road, between Dundee and the N11, last night.

Police and security officials said the armed robbers were travelling in two vehicles – a Ford Focus with a ND registration and a blue Toyota Corolla.

The vehicles were seen heading for Glencoe but are now thought to have travelled towards Dundee.

No further information was immediately available on details of the robbery or if there had been any injuries.

Anyone spotting the aforementioned vehicles is urged to contact the nearest police station.
