Man’s decomposed body found in dam in the east of Pretoria

An unidentified man’s decomposed body was found floating in a dam near Savannah Country estate in the east of Pretoria on Friday afternoon.

“It is believed his body had been in the water for seven days,” Silverton police spokesperson Warrant Officer Isaac Mcunu said.

The man was understood to have been in his 40s.

Mcunu further said the man was found with multiple injuries to his head and body.

An inquest docket was opened for investigation.
