Mentally ill man kills fellow patient at Mankweng Hospital in Limpopo
The Department of Health says they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Limpopo Department of Health says they are saddened by the killing of a mental health care patient at Mankweng Hospital, Polokwane Review reports.
Spokesperson, Neil Shikwambana says a mental health patient assaulted and killed a fellow patient in the psychiatric ward of the Mankweng Hospital on Saturday, 30 November.
“The department is currently investigating the circumstances under which this incident happened. The MEC, Dr Phophi Ramathuba, has on behalf of the department sent out condolences to the family of the deceased” he said.
