Missing Ipeleng Moholane found dead in Midrand

Condolences continue to spread on social media after the discovery of missing student Ipeleng Moholane’s dead body on Monday.

Speaking on Radio 702 yesterday morning, her father, Isaac Moholane said: “We found her Monday, in the afternoon. I think the killers killed her in the morning or just the day before.”

People of Midrand posted on Facebook: “It is sad to announce that Ipeleng, the missing girl, was found dead this evening. This is sad. We thank God for bringing closure to the search of this girl. May we pray for the family who have just identified the body …”

Moholane had gone missing while on her way to university on May 16, Midrand Reporter reported.

Her friends and family launched a search for her, using all available means to spread the word about her disappearance. On May 23 and 24, friends and family of Moholane staged a march in the Pretoria CBD and Midrand, holding placards that read “Bring Back Our Girl”.

It was confirmed last night Moholane was found dead in a veld in President Park, in Midrand. Police have yet to comment on the case.
