Motive for KZN teen’s shooting unknown

A 19-year-old man is reportedly in a critical condition after he sustained four gunshot wounds in Botha’s Hill, KwaZulu-Natal.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the motive for the shooting remains unknown, Highway Mail reported.

“The man was rushed to a local clinic. He had sustained life-threatening injuries,” added Botha.

The unidentified man was transported to hospital after he was stabilised on Wednesday.

Hillcrest police communications officer Constable Ndumiso Manqele said no case has been opened yet.

In a separate incident, a man was shot and wounded during a shooting incident in Wyebank, near Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal last month.

Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said paramedics found the man sitting in his vehicle with serious injuries.

Botha said the man was transported to hospital.
