Murder accused appears in Bushbuckridge court after evading arrest for 3 months

A man who has been on the run since September was arrested this week.

Thabo Mabilane Dibakoane (45) appeared in the Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court yesterday, after evading arrest for more than three months.

Mpumalanga News reports that he is accused of fatally stabbing a woman in Shatale.

The murder case was registered in September and the suspect was arrested on Tuesday in Alverton Village.

The arrest followed a tip-off from residents and was made possible through a collaborative effort between the Tubatse SAPS Detective Services and the Bushbuckridge SAPS.

He was remanded in custody and will reappear in court on December 23 for further proceedings.
