Murder at accident scene in Gauteng town
A pedestrian was knocked over by a woman whose father then got involved in a heated confrontation with another motorist.

Station Street in Heidelberg outside Johannesburg was the scene of an accident and subsequent murder yesterday.
The accident involved a male pedestrian struck by a woman driving a Nissan Almera at about 18:00.
The woman contacted her father, and another driver stopped to assist and called for an ambulance because the pedestrian was injured. The woman’s father arrived, and a war of words erupted between him and this driver.
The father reportedly threatened to stab him and his wife with a knife he produced. The driver then retrieved a sjambok from his vehicle and allegedly assaulted the father.
The father then allegedly produced his firearm and shot the driver, who died on the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital because of the serious injuries he sustained.
The Heidelberg SAPS arrested the father and took him to hospital because he had injured his middle finger during the altercation.
Thereafter, they took him to the Heidelberg Police Station, where charges against him were laid.
The arrested man will soon appear in the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court, and the deceased (51) was taken to Heidelberg Pathology.
