Mystery dog found with bag strapped to back in Randfontein

No More Tears Animal Rescue is appealing to the public for any information about a dog they’ve named Gucci, who was found with a bag tied to his back.

A shocking discovery in Helikon Park has left animal rescuers searching for answers after a dog was found wandering the streets with a bag strapped to its back.

Randfontein Herald reports that No More Tears Animal Rescue is urgently seeking the owner of the dog, now known as Gucci.

Volunteer Clarisse Kruger explained that Gucci was picked up on Friday morning, after two women noticed him roaming the streets alone. To their surprise, he had a bag fastened securely to his back, which was filled with rubbish.

Clarisse said that at first they feared he may have been dumped, perhaps with food or even a note inside the bag to explain why his owners could no longer care for him.

The women who found him immediately took him to Randfontein Animal Hospital, where a lump was discovered on his body, and it is now being examined.

“We truly hope Gucci has an owner out there who is looking for him,” Clarissa says.
