N4 accident claims life of truck driver

The accident occurred between the Matsulu and KaNyamazane turnoffs outside Mbombela and caused heavy delays.

A truck driver was killed in an accident on the N4 outside Mbombela on Sunday.

TRAC reported the accident happened on the N4 between the Matsulu and KaNyamazane turnoffs in the Crocodile River Gorge.

According to Solange Soares, TRAC’s spokesperson, a single vehicle (truck) overturned on this road.

The lane headed towards Mbombela was closed which caused heavy delays with traffic having backed up for up to 10km.
