New KZN number plates: 100 000 mark reached

Owners of special number plates are warned that they might lose them to someone else if they are not changed in time.

In just over two months since the new number plates have been introduced in KZN, the province has announced that they have issued 100 000 plates.

Department of Transport spokesperson Kwanele Ncalane said the new number plate system was well received.

Residents who currently have special number plates should make sure they change them in time or else it is ‘first come, first served’ warns Ncalane.
