No municipal employees involved in mayor’s son’s shooting in KZN

Alfred Duma Local Municipality communications manager Siyabonga Maphalala released a statement that no municipal employees or bodyguards were involved in the deadly ambush that claimed the life of the mayor’s son, Ladysmith Gazette reports.

Mayor Vincent Madlala’s son, Sbonelo Mondli Madlala, and his friends were attacked on Tuesday evening by unknown gunmen who opened fire on their vehicle in Ezakheni E-Section.

Mayor Madlala’s son and a friend sustained gunshot wounds and succumbed to their injuries.

The municipality sends its heartfelt condolences to the Madlala and Malinga families.
