Man shot dead in Ekurhuleni

Gauteng police are appealing for information after a man was fatally shot in Kempton Park.

Norkem Park SAPS is investigating a murder case following the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man along Zuurfontein Road on Saturday (September 19), reports Kempton Express.

According to Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Portia Mkhondo, the victim was allegedly shot multiple times.

He sustained gunshot wounds to his back and chest and was declared dead at the scene.

“The motive for the shooting is currently unknown, while detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has information that could assist the investigation to come forward.

Information can be provided to the investigating officer or anonymously via the SAPS Crime Stop line on 08600 10111.
