Police search for KwaDukuza ANC member who disappeared last week

General Gizenga Mpanza Regional ANC member, Sanele Qumba, has not been seen in over a week.

The ANC in KwaDukuza is asking the public to assist in the search for one of their members, Sanele Qumba (39), who has been missing since last Wednesday.

Qumba was the chairperson of the ANC in Ward 17 at the time of his disappearance.

He was last seen at his temporary residential unit in KwaDukuza Ward 17’s High Ridge last Tuesday evening at 21:00, with no trace of him since.

His unit was found the next morning with the door slightly ajar and with all of his belongings intact, initially causing no reason for concern among neighbouring residents and family.

It was believed that he may have travelled to an ANC event, but after it was confirmed that there were no such events in the area, his family was advised to open a missing persons case.

They did so at KwaDukuza SAPS on Wednesday this week, but no further leads have since emerged.

If you have any further information that could assist, please contact KwaDukuza Saps at 032 551 8206 or 079 696 3528, Qumba’s mother Nomawesile at 084 748 9299 or his sister Nompumelelo at 076 712 1339.
