Polokwane police seek info, suspects after murder of woman (52)

It is not clear how the killers of Lindie Oberholzer (52) who was ‘hit with a sharp object’ gained entry to her house in Polokwane. Provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has called on residents to assist with information.
Oberholzer was reportedly killed inside her house in broad daylight yesterday.
Polokwane Review journalists were on the scene, where they spoke to one of her neighbours.
“I cannot believe this happened in our neighbourhood in broad daylight. I now fear for my life as my vehicle’s back window was smashed by criminals recently. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased.”
Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed the murder in Windemere Way, Bendor.
“A manhunt has been launched for an unknown number of suspects. Preliminary police investigations revealed that the victim was apparently hit with a sharp object, but police are yet to determine how the killer(s) gained entry into the house and onto the premises,” Mojapelo explained in a statement.
The police urged those with information to come forward.
