Pretoria North boy (10) still missing
The boy was last seen by his grandmother on 30 October.
A 10-year-old learner from Pretoria North, who went missing last week, has not been found, Rekord North reports.
This was contrary to social media reports that Johannes Phillip Venter was found on Monday morning.
According to the Pink Ladies, a non-profit organisation that helps to search for missing people, he was still missing.
Venter was last seen by his grandmother on 30 October when she took him to school.
The Pink Ladies said the boy never attended any of his classes that day.
“It was presumed that his father fetched him at the school,” said Pink Ladies director Dessie Rechner.
Venter was apparently last spotted with his father at a shopping centre.
“We will continue our search for the child until police confirm he is safely back at home,” said Rechner.
Rechner said there was no waiting period before reporting a missing person.
Anyone with information on Venter’s whereabouts may call Captain Machaba of Pretoria North police on 082-319-9798 or the Pink Ladies on 072-214-7439 or 083-378-4882 or 086-001-0111.
