Pretoria: Two arrested for Laudium cash-in-transit robbery

Cash, weapons and a vehicle used in the robbery were seized during the arrest.

Police have arrested two men for their alleged involvement in a cash-in-transit robbery in Laudium last week, Rekord Centurion reports.

The robbery happened in a parking lot at Laudium Square last Tuesday.

SBV Services confirmed that police nabbed two people in the north of Pretoria for their alleged involvement in the robbery.

“We applaud the SA police service for their efforts in swiftly arresting two suspects in connection with the recent cash-in-transit robbery in Laudium,” the company said.

Anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee said on social media that cash, weapons and a vehicle used in the robbery were seized during the arrest.

“More arrests are expected. The one suspect was out on bail,” he said.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo confirmed the arrest.
