A man accused of raping three girls five years ago in the Western Cape will appear in court this week.
The case against a 49-year-old man from George, accused of the rape of three minor girls, has reached a pretrial conference in the Mossel Bay Regional Court, reports Mossel Bay Advertiser.
The accused will appear in court again on Thursday, when the conference is expected to begin.
Because of the nature of the allegations against him, the accused’s identity cannot be revealed.
The alleged rapes are believed to have occurred in the Great Brak River area, Western Cape, in 2021. At the time, the victims were between the ages of 13 and 15.
The accused was arrested in 2023 and was later denied bail during a previous court appearance.
He has remained in police custody since.
